When the collection hit the catwalk on Tuesday it was a little more than just mesmerising. With a backdrop of giant crystals protruding into centre stage , Karl Largerfeld did not fail on spectacle.

The collection itself mirrored the back drop of the show, subdued colours and heavy layers were themes played throughout it. Under blouses and under skirts over trousers then cocooned with large woollen coats showed Largerfeld play with texture and the detailed embellishments,feathered necklines, encrusted sleeves and a mix of materials only added another layer of intricacy to the collection.

There was little left to be desired in Paris yesterday after this collection hit the runway, which is probably just what Karl Lagerfeld was aiming for.
